Canadian consul general seeks Chinese collaboration

On May 7, 2014, Li Youzhi, vice-governor of Hunan province, met the Canadian Consul General in Guangzhou Weldon Epp and his crew, China News reports.

Li welcomed Epp and his team and introduced to them Hunan’s educational situation and resources. According to Li, there are more than 26,000 educational institutions in Hunan. They cooperate with many enterprises to ensure employment. He hopes that both sides can strengthen exchange between education, culture, teachers and students.

 

Epp highly commended Hunan’s development in the educational field. He emphasized that Canada valued the educational exchange between the two countries very much. According to him, the community colleges and career colleges in Canada are well established. He hopes to promote the exchange in professional fields. He also said that he will be very glad to bridge the educational collaboration between Canada and China.
